The Hulk

 Jensen the Hulk

Capt Jensen America

Look at the folded arms. :) He is quite serious about his in-car movies... and unleashes the furies of hell  on all who move the screen to adjust the volume....

Daddy's work had a softball tournament the friday before last- instead of work...he's liking this job.
We came out to cheer him on.

 There he goes.

Jensen was in heaven because they had gatorade...
That's his looking-into-the-sun-smile. I believe it will appear again in the course of this post...

Ramblin' man Duke. Water. Check. Hotdog. Check. Outside. Check. All's well.

This is Al's pre weekend formation at 11:30 am on Friday. For those of you in the know, you see that we are a fairly laid back unit...

And after the early release we headed up to KY and Grandma and Grandpa's. We were told that if we chose to be arctic seals we could have a go at the pre memorial day pool.
And so we did.

This is about half an hour after we got there.

Jensen is a force to be reckoned with with his water wings on!

D getting farther in. Sitting on Dad's feet...

 Goggles are fun.

 More goggles are more fun!

The reindeer games that go on while we are between swimming sessions.

Of course all four kids are involved...

And occasionally someone else gets dragged into the fracas. I'm pretty sure Raine could breathe during this maneuver....

This is Grandpa watching over the usurpers stomach distention while Al and I went to the store to gather supplies...

We went to a horse show with Raine.  This is Jensen embracing the culture...

Duke got a brownie...ooooooh boy.... :/

My turn to embrace the culture...

After all the horses cleared the field it became suddenly interesting to D, as the sprinklers came on...

Ride'em boys.

Water break.

There we go.

Upgrade!

Jensen was excited and a wee bit nervous about riding the real version- but Zoomie was a champ and sweetheart and let him hang out.

He would only agree to taking about three steps ... :)

Raine's peeps.

Duke meeting the horses...I swear I've seen this exact scene before, only with Jence...so it looked exactly the same...

Hesitation...
But not for long. 10 seconds more and he probably would have started kissing it.

Then came the best part- Jensen got to compete!

Raine led him around the...um...ring? It was super cute. The announcer told them to do little "tricks".

Here he is, waving to the judges.

Hehe, he's so cute.
Reaching back to touch behind him...

And he got a first place ribbon!

Oooh my goodness, this is his pride and joy. Look at him beaming.

Aaand Duke....

While I was at work the other day I got this little number sent to me...

The next weekend we went to the Tennessee Renaissance Fair, where we got to see a jousting tournament.

D waiting for the fun to start, munching goldfish...

There they go!
Oooh- it's getting good!

There we are, enjoying the sweltering heat and direct sunlight.

Comparing this to the first of this series- note that this is a real smile as the horses are running, armor is clanking and shards of wood are flying, the first was the result of a bribe.

Hehe...

Look at those shards a-flyin'!

Jence and I with the falcons...

And the highlight of the day; the purchase of swords...

...
...yikes. Please take a moment to imagine the people jumping out of our way...

The outting ended at the craft corner.

Duke's first experience with crayons went over like gang-busters. It ended with him stealing one...but based on the number of them ground into the dirt, I figured we were all good.

Al helping Jence string beads onto a bracelet...which he wore for about three weeks. SO cute.

Me on crayon duty...harder than it sounds, my friends, harder than it sounds...

This is my oh-sure-Jence-I'm-sure-you're-going-to-help-me look, as he is scoping out the next project.

:)
